They close with yet another shadow FedExCup eligibility list that deals with the suspended LIV players.Ī magical week for Andy and Brendan at The Open comes to a close with this recap episode after the final round at The Old Course. Andrews, and the helicopter parents head to Bandon for the Junior Am. Davis Love III making it into a featured group for the Rocket Mortgage Classic is shouted about, in between praise for the event’s mission and character. The added events for next year that might commit players to an international series in far flung corners of the globe is discussed. There is more Stenson scorn, some warning about contracts as they relate to the “relegation” concept or lack thereof, and the PGA Tour’s potential parroting of that contract model. They lament the lack of access to any of these players, who will be off for more than a month between LIV events. Andy and Brendan laugh at Laurie Canter getting passed around, the decrepit Niblicks squad, and the moderate interest in the actual golf. This Wednesday episode begins with LIV’s return to the schedule for the week. They close with some spicy quotes on the upcoming Wentworth commingling, as well as some Minor League Golf Tour talk given Eric Cole’s success at KFT Finals. They hit on the season plus playoffs format of handing out 50 cards continuing to work, but with the usual appeal for more movement once in-season. There is praise for another KFT finals Sunday delivering, and a hypothetical about what’s to stop LIV from taking a run at Justin Suh. They are increasingly bought in on the entertainment appeal of the 54-hole format and the shotgun start. They discuss how Westy’s abominable gag may be the surest sign yet that this is legitimate competition. Andy and Brendan discuss the tension between the curiosity factor from its initial events wearing off against the context for the league that builds with each event. This Labor Day episode is largely a discussion of the LIV Boston event and where this disruptor league might be heading.

![]() Remember when I wrote about a band I formed for one of the Toycons back in the mid-00’s? This was the show that I took the name of the band from. It was made by Green Bunny Studios, under the direction of one Yasuomi Umetsu, who had worked on Megazone 23, Sol Bianca : The Legacy, Cool Devices and many others. The show was made in 1998, but I didn’t actually get to watch it until around 2004-05ish. ![]() Her name is Sawa, protagonist of a notoriously infamous anime OVA, Kite. The photo below is one of my favorite chics with a gun, a very special one at that (more on it later) which will certainly blow you away. Show me a chic with a gun, I will most likely watch it. I’m a big fan of action oriented anime, and quite frankly girls with guns are high on my list. The first anime I’ll make a review on would be one that I’d first watched a very long time ago. I’ll do my best to avoid spoilers for my “Thoughts” entries, it’d be best if you see the show yourself. I may or may not be doing much of a review, rather than just totally talking about it. Most Western cartoons are geared toward children, whereas anime often has content reserved in the realm of adults. While it is of course generally agreed upon that anime is a cartoon, not all anime is for children. A lot of people my age may frown at the fact that I watch anime, and quite a bit of it at that. Most of you know me would know about my penchant for watching anime. Today I’m gonna try my hand at doing something that I have never done before in any of my blogs – write an anime review. We're excited to see both the development of Slack as a service and the growing adoption of WebRTC as a technology. We had to make some significant changes to allow our app to connect with external and PSTN callers, but for Slack's closed system environment, WebRTC seemed like a great fit. It's what powers the OnSIP app for Chrome and Firefox, a video-enabled VoIP phone that can be used from an internet browser. WebRTC was our first guess because it's something our development team has become very familiar with. Opening Slack in Chrome and checking out chrome://webrtc-internals for a few minutes seemed to confirm this. ![]() We suspected that Slack was using WebRTC, an open source peer-to-peer API, to stream data between the users. To my knowledge, Slack has not publicly described their methods for getting voice chat going, so this is more of an informed guess. It's a smart goal in terms of unified communications, but there's usually a risk of becoming a "jack of all trades, master of none." As Slack users here at OnSIP, we hope they're able to balance it well, and our understanding of the underlying technology leads us to believe they should be able to. Rather than using one service for text, a different app for video and a third for screen-sharing, their plan is to make Slack an appealing option for all three. With the introduction of voice chat and the promise of Slack video chat and screen-sharing in the future, the Slack team is positioning itself to become a more all-encompassing collaboration tool. This theme was the subject of a Leverhulme Trust grant (F/345/E) awarded to the University of Greenwich and administered by us in 1998, which aimed to use the tools of modem landscape visualisation in understanding the influence of terrain in the First World War. This conference brought together historians, geologists, military enthusiasts and terrain analysts from military, academic and amateur backgrounds with the aim of exploring the application of modem tools of landscape visualisation to understanding historical battlefields. The current volume stems from the international Terrain in Military History conference held in association with the Imperial War Museum, London and the Royal Engineers Museum, Chatham, at the University of Greenwich in January 2000. Under dosing of AEDs and aggressive weaning of anesthetic agents may result in higher morbidity and mortality. This retrospective review demonstrates how guidelines and recommendations for SE are not consistently followed. Seizure recurrence rates were: 8/32 (25%) 72 hours. Status epilepticus is said to occur when a seizure is prolonged, where seizures occur in close succession or the person doesnt recover between seizures. Patients with anoxic brain injury were excluded when reviewing anesthetic wean times. Once intubation and mechanical ventilation are established, the outcome is primarily related to the underlying brain disease and the ability to control seizures. This is a medical emergency that may lead to permanent brain. All patients with SE on anesthetic agents were included when analyzing AED dosing. Status epilepticus is a clinical expression of potentially severe brain disease and may threaten life through impairment of airway control and respiratory function. Lyn-Z offered these tips for girls who want to get into skateboarding:ĭon’t be afraid to ask. My best advice to girls who want to start skating is don’t be afraid to ask for help. Now if that’s not a good reason to start skateboarding, then do it because it’s fun. Skateboarding has taken Lyn-Z around the world, she’s won X-Games gold, and appeared in magazines and on TV, and has accrued a long list of sponsors. She lives in Cardiff, CA and skates the Encinitas YMCA all summer, then travels to Mammoth for the winters, where she’s even gotten very into snowboarding, competing in that as well. She does it all, street, vert, and is even the only girl to have ever jumped the mega ramp, a serious 50-foot gap. Now, Lyn-Z has earned her place as one of the best female skaters in the world. “That was when I really got into it because it was my choice to go skate and I wasn’t just going because my brother was going”, she said. When she was 11, Tyler broke his ankle, and so Lyn-Z had no reason to go skate. “I’ve been around it my whole life, but my brother skateboarded and that’s kind of why I actually wanted to get into it.”Īt age six, her brother Tyler bought Lyn-Z a membership to the local park, and she would tag along when he went skating. She got her first skateboard when she was barely old enough to talk and had an older brother to learn from. Supergirl Jam athlete and ambassador Lyn-Z Pastrana is a bit of an anomaly in that respect. And while most boys are given skateboards as presents at a young age, girls often get started much later in life, making it that much more difficult. The falls, balance and the dreaded first drop-in are all challenges too, but without taking that initial plunge, you’ll never even get there. Getting started in skateboarding can be the hardest part of the sport. |
